What an amazing view you would get by just walking over this new bridge.
Connecting U.S. Route 93 over the Colorado River is an amazing engineering feat which links Arizona and Nevada by spanning the Colorado River 1,600 feet from the Hoover Dam. It's expected to be completed by September 2010 at a cost of about $240 million.
The bridge will be four lanes wide at a length 1,900 feet with a 1,080-foot main primary section.
This will be the first concrete-steel composite arch bridge built in the United States.
People will be able to park and walk across the bridge for views of Hoover Dam. Only walkers will be able to view the dam while crossing. Drivers will not be able to see of the dam.
