George Steinbrenner, who built a legacy as the New York Yankees Boss, died Tuesday. Just a few days after famed Yankee announcer Bob Sheppard passed away at age 99. The Boss had just turned 80 on July 4th.
Mr. Steinbrenner had a fatal heart attack and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Fla.,where he died at about 6:30 a.m. July 13th.
Mr. Steinbrenner was nicknamed "the Boss," because he ruled with an iron fist. The Yankees won seven World Series titles and 11 American League pennants during his over 30 years at the helm. The sports community will greatly miss him.
